چکیده

The signal recorded by the sensor contains information relative both to the atmosphere and the surface. Atmospheric correction is necessary to extract the surface reflectance required within biophysical algorithms used to estimate canopy characteristics. Aerosol characteristics are the most difficult to evaluate because they vary rapidly with time and space. The objective is to develop an autonomous aerosol correction method exploiting the information content in MERIS top of atmosphere signal. We propose to use 13 MERIS bands to estimate the aerosol optical thickness, training a dedicated neural network over a database made of radiative transfer model simulations (SMAC, SAIL, PROSPECT).

Determination of Leaf Relative Water Content of Two Genotypes of Sesame Using Visible and Near- Infrared (VIS/NIR) Spectrometry to Detect Drought Stress

Relative water content (RWC) in plants is one of the most important biochemical parameters and its deficiency limits efficiency of photosynthesis and crop productivity. The scientific reports on using spectroscopy in detecting drought stress for sesame plants are very rare. In this study, the possibility of identifying water stress in two sensitive (Naz-Takshakhe) and resistant (Yekta) genotype...

Introduction Understanding the spectral reflectance of different soils and other surface elements forms the basis for analyzing the process of interpreting remote sensing data. Spectral properties of the various phenomena of the Earth's surface are not constant and are changing, based on the complex time and space conditions. Determination of soil chemical properties using remote sensing techni...

Seminaire Du Gap Biophotonics "xbaer: a Generic Algorithm for the Retrieval of Aerosol Properties from Satel-lite Observations"

Because of a long-term synergy with other observations from ENVISAT, there is advan-tage to derive aerosol optical thickness (AOT) using the MEdium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) instrument. Although limited in spectral coverage, it is possible to derive accurate AOT from MERIS. Here, we introduce a new AOT retrieval algorithm for MERIS over land surfaces, henceforth called eXtensible ...

Aerosol Optical Thickness Retrieval over Land: the Atmospheric Correction Based on the Meris L2 Reflectance

RESUME The MERIS L2 reflectance of the data product requires over land surface an atmospheric correction for the aerosol effect. For this purpose the determination of aerosol optical thickness will be done by the BAER (Bremen AErosol Retrieval) approach, modified for this type of data product. Validation and application of the retrieval of spectral aerosol optical thickness and its application ...
